YOUR PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN DEBT!

Dear Pastor:

A few years ago, I became one of the many thousands each year in America to experience the effects of a heart attack. During recovery, I had a lot of time to reflect on my future and what Cathy and the kids would have faced, if I had died. It became apparent to me that I was a failure as a provider, due to my long-term debt load. Sure, we had insurance, but that would have only covered a small amount of the total debt and left nothing for living expenses. That day I determined to get out of debt. Many months later, though in better shape, I was still in debt with no real plan on just how to get out.

One day while at church, a friend handed me a book. Normally that means he wants to sell me something, or he wants me to sell something for him. To be honest, I was not interested and put the book aside. A few days later, I was scheduled for a semi-annual heart test that would last about two hours; so I decided to take that book with me. Between tests, I started reading. I read non-stop that day and up till about 1:00 a.m. the next morning! I had found the Bible-based plan for which I was looking! I had found the answer to my debt problem!

I discovered a program that GUARANTEED me to be completely DEBT-FREE in 3-7 years, including my mortgage. Not only that, I would be able to do it on the money I was currently earning! Even though I still had over 12 years of debt facing me, with my new program, I knew I would be DEBT FREE in just 32 months! I went to bed that night knowing the exact day I would be out of debt. I sometimes joke and say, "Due to my current economic condition, the light at the end of the tunnel had been turned off." Well, that night, it was turned back on!

Now, I would like to share that information with you. Could I preach a little? It is not Christ-honoring to be in debt! God tells us in Romans 13:8, "Owe no man anything…." When we borrow, we place ourselves in servitude to those from whom we borrow. We promise away future income to the lender. We obligate our money and ourselves to that lender, and we limit what we can do for God. Our Lord is particular about to whom we are slaves. He tells us we "are bought with a price," and "ye are not your own." (I Corinthians 6:19, 20) If we are going to be totally honest, we must face our debt problem.

Our Lord has given me the honor of taking that message to churches around the country, and He has blessed GREATLY! If you would be interested in having a DEBT-FREE conference in your church, please give me a call and allow me to give you an overview of the program. By the way, this in not, I repeat, NOT a get-rich-quick plan, a bankruptcy plan, or a sales scheme. I am not a banker, and I do not work for a loan company. I am just a debtor who has found a Bible-based plan that quickly and easily eliminates debt God's way, and I want to share it with as many people as I possibly can.

I must tell you that I had no intentions of going to churches with this program and probably never would have had it not been for my preacher, Brother Hyles. With his encouragement, I could do no less.
